Everglades National Park • Homestead, FL
One of the things that we loved about this National Park were all the lookout points. The Everglades is such a vast and inspiring land and without bridges, like the ones pictured, we would not have been able to really experience it’s beauty. This particular lookout was called Mahogany Hammock (named after the trees) and took us half a mile out into the wetlands. The majority of the walk felt like we were in a foreign country. It was absolutely magical. Tomorrow we will post pictures from our canoe trip through the backcountry!
I want to go to a place where there’s oranges. Oranges all year around. Men don’t kill each other for oranges. And they’re a hell of a lot more beautiful than gold.
